Open Source Solution

According to Rajith Attapattu, Senior Software Engineer, Red Hat and Paul Fremantle, Cofounder and VP of Technology, WSO2. Apache Synapse is the open source alternative to proprietary Enterprise Service Buses (ESBs) costs less and requires less effort.Synapse is a simple XML and Web services management and integration broker that can form the basis of an SOA and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB). Furthermore, provides an approach to SOA that can expose existing applications without rewriting any code. The ability to reuse, integrate, manage, and control interactions with your existing applications without changing them makes Synapse an attractive choice and a key approach to an SOA strategy. If your company is planning to transform your existing middleware into a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), you should look into Apache Synapse as your solution unless cost is not one of your constraint.
